1. Purpose of the rental
The lessor rents out a cabin on stilts located, Rue Stockeu n° 102 in 4970 STAVELOT in BELGIUM and called “L’Onyx”.

2. Duration
The rental period is fixed in advance and can only be changed with the agreement of the owner. It begins on the day of arrivalNight moves from 4 p.m. and ends at 11 a.m. on the day of departure. Late departures will incur a surcharge of €25 per hour started.

3. Payment of the rent
The reservation becomes effective after receipt of the total amount of the rental on the account in the name of De Grave-Bodeux F C and bearing the number IBAN: BE65 7320 5075 4996 (BIC: CREGBEBB), as well as a photocopy of the valid identity card of the person responsible for the stay at the following e-mail address: info@onyx-gite-insolite.be

5. Use of the hut
The hut is designed for a maximum of 2 people. The tenant undertakes not to exceed this number without the agreement of the lessor and to use it with due care. Smoking is not permitted in the building.
Dogs are allowed in the accommodation for a supplement of €13/day.

6. Deposit
A deposit of €400 will be paid into the same account as the rental two days before arrival to cover any damage. If everything is in order at the time of departure, the deposit will be returned in full within 24 hours of the tenant’s departure to the bank account from which it was paid.

7. Cancellation
If the lessee cancels his/her booking, compensation of 50% of the rent will be retained if the cancellation occurs within 30 days before the start of the holiday and 90% of the price if it occurs within 8 days before the start of the holiday.
The lessor will only cancel the booking in the event of force majeure. The lessor will either refund the full amount received or agree with the lessee another date for the holiday.
A tenant wishing to cancel a booking may propose a replacement tenant who agrees to take on the rental on the same terms and for the same period as the tenant. In this case, no compensation is due and the tenant is released from all obligations towards the lessor.

8. Arrival
A key box containing the key to the gîte is located next to the entrance door. The code will be issued at 4 p.m. subject to receipt of the deposit.
If the tenant wishes, we can give various explanations concerning the use of the gîte’s facilities during the 4pm to 7pm time slot. To do this, the tenant must let the owner know in advance.

9. Parking
Free private parking is available on site, approximately 40m from the gîte.

10. Houserules
Smoking is not permitted in the hut. It is strictly forbidden to throw cigarette butts into the nature.

Night-time use should be as quiet as possible.
The spa is best used at a temperature of between 30 and 38°C. A higher temperature encourages the evaporation of chlorine and the proliferation of bacteria. We strongly recommend that you take a shower before using the spa. It is forbidden to eat in the spa or to turn it off.
If you notice an abnormal smell or the water becomes cloudy, please contact us.
The spa cover must be replaced as soon as it is no longer in use in order to maintain the water temperature and prevent leaves or insects from falling in or flying out.

The fridge needs emptying.

The kitchen and crockery must be clean and tidy.

Dogs must be kept on a lead, are not allowed to roam freely in the grounds, or remain alone in the gîte.
